gabble – Find & Chat — Child Safety Standards

01 What is prohibited

In these standards, a minor is anyone under 18, or anyone under the age of majority where they live if that is higher — in the Republic of Korea, anyone under 19. The following are strictly prohibited on gabble, in chats, greetings, posts, profiles, and photos:

• Child sexual abuse material, including drawn, animated, or AI-generated imagery.
• Any sexualization of minors, or sexual contact or conversation with someone who is or appears to be a minor.
• Grooming, sextortion, and soliciting images or meetings from minors.
• Trafficking of minors, or advertising the sexual exploitation of a minor.
• Using gabble if you are under 18.

02 Age requirement

• You must be 18 or older to use gabble. Sign-up requires a date of birth, and dates of birth under 18 are refused at sign-up and when a profile is edited. This check started on September 11, 2026; accounts created earlier, including those carried over from just chat, were not held to it.
• On Google Play, gabble is restricted to users aged 18 and older, so users identified as minors cannot find or download it. In the Republic of Korea it carries the 청소년이용불가 rating.
• If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.

03 Safety measures

• Chats and posts are text only. The only images members can share are profile photos, which are automatically screened for explicit content by AWS Rekognition; a photo it does not clear stays hidden from other members unless our team approves it. Photos carried over from just chat kept their earlier approval.
• In a random chat, neither person receives the other's name or photos, and you can leave at any time.
• You can block a member from their profile or from a 1:1 chat opened with a greeting. Random chats have no block option — leave the chat instead.

04 How to report

• If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first (for example 112 in Korea or 911 in the United States).
• Report to us by emailing pinekey.dev@gmail.com with the subject "gabble child safety report". gabble does not yet have a report button in the app, so email is the way to reach us; you can report without signing in.
• Tell us how to find the conversation: if you have a gabble account, include the email address you use for it, the date and time (with your time zone), and whether it happened in a random chat, a chat opened with a greeting, a profile, or a post; for anything other than a random chat, include the member's nickname. Random chats don't show the other person's name and are deleted from our servers once both people leave, so email us before you leave if you can.
• Do not send us sexual images of a minor, even as evidence. Describe them instead; screenshots of text messages are fine.
• Report CSAM to the authorities as well: the NCMEC CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org), the Korea Communications Standards Commission (kocsc.or.kr) or Korean National Police cyber reporting (ecrm.police.go.kr), or your country's hotline through INHOPE (inhope.org).

05 What we do with a report

• We review child safety reports as a priority and act when we have actual knowledge of CSAE or CSAM.
• We report apparent CSAM to NCMEC and to the relevant authorities in Korea and elsewhere as required by law, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
• We remove the content and delete the offending accounts.
